"Территория земных надежд" - коллекция живописи из сеульского музея Кахве, которую более четырёх десятилетий с любовью формировал нынешний директор этого музея Юн Ёлсу.
Territory of Earthly Hopes is a collection of paintings from the Gahoe Museum in Seoul, a collection that Yoon Yulsoo, the current director of this museum, has formed with love for over four decades.
"Территория земных надежд" - собрание шедевров декоративной живописи "минхва" ХIХ начала ХХ века. Минхва - это народное искусство. Наивные, полные иронии и оптимизма картины, исполненные на ширмах и свитках, основаны на традиционных верованиях простых корейцев, которые в своей повседневности опирались на мифологию, историю, вековые обычаи, основанные на конфуцианстве, даосизме, буддизме и местных шаманских культах.
"Territory of Earthly Hopes" is a collection of masterpieces of the 19th - early 20th century decorative painting called "minhwa". Minhwa is a type of folk art. Full of irony and optimism, naive paintings on screens and scrolls are based on the traditional beliefs of common Koreans, who in their every day life relied om mythology, history and age-old customs based on Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism and local shamanic cults.

Для многих из нас Корея – это что-то далёкое и непонятное. Об укладе жизни в этом азиатском регионе мы в лучшем случае знаем из книг и документальных фильмов, в худшем – из сложившихся стереотипов. Что уж говорить об искусстве Страны утренней свежести, как поэтично называют эту страну…
Выставочный проект «Территория земных надежд» не просто даёт возможность созерцать произведения искусства. Благодаря творческим мастерским, созданным для этой выставки, каждый желающий, вне зависимости от возраста и профессии, сможет совершить погружение в культуру Кореи, прочувствовать её, вдохнуть полной грудью. Творческие мастерские объединят людей, неравнодушных к искусству в целом и искусству Кореи в частности.
Публичная интерактивная программа была разработана сотрудниками сектора интерактивных авторских программ: Надеждой Красуцкой, Екатериной Ляшкевич и Анной Кузнецовой совместно с Alice Goang, волонтером (Франция) и Дианой Кныш, художником. В реализации активно участвуют коллеги отдела хранения: Екатерина Дасько и Мария Шугалей.

Not only does the exhibition project "The Territory of Earthly Hopes" provide an opportunity to contemplate works of art but it lets everyone (no matter what they do or how old they are) immerse themselves in the culture of Korea, feel it, breathe in full. And it all can happen thanks to the creative workshops specially organised for this exhibition to unite people who are fascinated with Art in general and Korean Art in particular.
Интерактивный проект: "Корея. Посмотри в глаза тигру!" (6+)
Практически каждая корейская сказка, легенда или притча начинается со слов «В далёкие-далёкие времена, когда принцем гор был тигр…» Всё дело в том, что тигр с древнейших времён являлся одним из наиболее любимых персонажей среди зверей-оберегов. Дома украшали изображениями этих животных, широкое хождение имели талисманы из когтей, клыков, костей и шкуры тигра.
Ребята совершат видеопутешествие в «страну тигров» и «встретят» на этом пути вместе с корейским художником Ким Хон До настоящего тигра, попробуют раскрыть тайну того, каким образом он превратился из животного, вызывающего страх, в добродушного старичка-соседа, и сделают сами оттиск образа тигра-друга на бумаге, изготовленой в Республике Корея специально для выставки.
Interactive programme: "Korea. Look in the eyes of a tiger!" (6+)
Almost every Korean fairy tale, legend or parable begins with the words ‘In the distant times, when Tiger was the Prince of mountains...’ The whole thing is that from ancient times a tiger was one of the most beloved characters among the animal mascots. Houses were decorated with images of this animal. Tokens made from claws, fangs, bones and tiger skins were extremely popular.
Kids will make a videotrip to “the Country of Tigers” and together with Gim Hong-do, Korean painter, they will meet a real tiger on the way. They will try to find out how such a scary animal became a kind friend. And then our guests will reprint the image of the tiger on the paper which was specially made for the exhibition in the Republic of Korea.

«The door to knowledge : create your own book in the Korean way»

After studying the Painting of Bookshelf, we will create our own books in the traditional way. The visitors will customize their cover with Korean traditional patterns and colors and bind the book themselves. (10 persons/+16 years old).

Интерактивный проект «Территория земных надежд» (16+)
В полной мере насладиться красотой и понять живопись минхва можно лишь при знании и понимании её основ. Программа предоставляет уникальную возможность открыть для себя аспекты духовной, социальной и бытовой жизни Кореи на основе представленных на выставке художественных произведений.
Её участникам предстоит практически собственноручно влиять на ход этой встречи. Помогут им в этом размышления корейских философов, отрывки из стихотворений поэтов. Гости программы проложат путь из полученных знаний от одного произведения искусства к другому, создадут ожерелье, нанизывая «жемчужину за жемчужиной» золотые слова корейских мудрецов, поэтов, учёных. И каждому будет уготовано пройти свой путь по «Территории земных надежд», потому что у каждого человека на Земле свой особенный взгляд на мир и на искусство.
“Territory of Earthly Hopes”: interactive project (16+)
The beauty and interpretation of the Minhwa painting can be fully enjoyed only with the knowledge and understanding of its foundations. The interactive programme gives a unique opportunity to reveal aspects of spiritual, social and everyday life of Korea on the basis of paintings from the exhibition.
Our guests will create their own atmosphere with the help of some Korean philosophers' reflections and excerpts from poems. And using this knowledge they will pave their way from one masterpiece to another. And so marvellous will the necklace be created, as the golden words of Korean sages, poets, scientists are being strung together like pearls – one by one. And different ways are awaiting the quests on the Territory of Earthly Hopes since everyone in this world has their own particular views on the world and art.

Арт-мастерская Дианы Кныш
«Пойдем со мной туда, где все цветёт!» (7+)
Наиболее распространённый мотив в живописи минхва – это цветы, которые встречаются практически во всех произведениях. В живописи используются в основном изображения цветов, с которыми устойчиво ассоциировались те или иные благопожелания.
Всем посетителям арт-мастерской предстоит стать не просто созерцателями, но ещё и создателями прекрасных цветочных мотивов.
Art workshop by Diana Knysh
"Come with me where everything is blooming!"
Flowers are the most common motif in Minhwa painting, we can found them in almost every work. But only those flowers that are strongly associated with goodwill are used there.
All visitors of the art workshop will become not just contemplators, but also the creators of beautiful floral motifs.
